School Programs

You'll love our outdoor classroom! We offer elementary students two interactive hands-on school programs, "Rainforest Rescuers" and "Bridge Builders", from October through April.




Capilano Suspension Bridge Park offers you 2 interactive programs: "Rainforest Rescuers" and "Bridge Builders". Our goal at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is to provide you and your students with a fun and educationally rewarding experience that will bring Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and its beautiful natural, cultural, and historic surroundings to life.

Both programs are aimed at and adapted for grades 1 through 7. Our school programs are delivered by BC certified teacher Lynn Broman,  nature guides, and our ecology supervisor. Each school program includes between 75 and 90 minutes of instructional time and hands-on activites. All programs include a history and nature tour tailored to the age and needs of the class.

During your visit, be sure to:

  • Cross the world famous Capilano Suspension Bridge!
  • Journey 300 feet above Capilano Canyon on the heart-stopping CLIFFWALK
  • Get a squirrel's-eye view of the rainforest from Treetops Adventure
  • Visit the Story Centre to learn about Capilano and Vancouver's history
  • Visit Kia'palano and the little Big House
  • Explore the Living Forest exhibit located at the far side of the Suspension Bridge
  • Walk the interpretative trails through the rainforest, around the trout ponds and Nature's Edge
