Capilano Suspension Bridge Glitters for the Holidays
North Vancouver, B.C
.
Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge is fast becoming a holiday tradition.
The signature maple tree, draped in shimmering snowfall lights, invites guests to
enjoy the magic of 200,000 lights – from the sparkling suspension bridge and
star-reflecting rainforest pond to the brightly lit park and Treetops Adventure.
Glass blower Malcolm MacFadyen is back by popular demand adding extra twinkle,
teaching guests how to blow glass icicle ornaments. Decorate your own gingerbread
man and sing along with the festive carolers. This rain or shine event will
certainly lift your holiday spirit!
Canyon Lights is on display from December 6, 2008 to January 3, 2009 from 5:00 – 9:00pm daily, except on December 24 & 31 when the park closes at 5:00pm and December 25, when the park is closed all day. The cost for adults is $10, children (6-12) are $5 or $25 for a family of four. Proceeds from admission will be donated to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, with a goal of raising $20,000 to support Burn Awareness Week in BC elementary schools.
