Birds of Prey Swoop into Capilano Suspension Bridge for Limited Summer Engagement

North Vancouver, B.C. - Capilano Suspension Bridge today announced an up-close opportunity to interact with birds of prey from Raptors Ridge over the summer from June 27 until September 7, 2009 from 10:30a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

A variety of birds of prey visiting Capilano this summer include Barn Owls, Lanner Falcons and Red Tail Hawks.  Their handlers will be roaming the West Coast rainforest with the birds to answer questions, educate guests on the various species and explain their importance to our ecosystem in their natural habitat.

“We are offering our visitors a unique and  intimate experience with these magnificent birds.  They play an important role in our West Coast ecosystem so we are pleased to give people the opportunity to interact with them closely,” said Nancy Stibbard, president and owner of Capilano Suspension Bridge. “Throughout the year there is a wide range of different activities like this for families to experience, which is another reason local BC families should get a CAP2010 pass.”

The CAP2010 pass offers BC residents unlimited admission to Capilano Suspension Bridge until December 31, 2010, enabling them to enjoy the full services and seasonal activities that make the park a year-round destination. The CAP2010 pass costs just $20.10, saving BC residents 30% off the regular adult admission rate.
