CAPILANO SUSPENSION BRIDGE HOSTS VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL

THE CLASSIC VIBRATIONS AND SMOOTH SOUNDS OF THE ANNUAL

JAZZ FESTIVAL WILL BE SET AGAINST THE BEAUTIFUL CANYON BACKDROP

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada - Capilano Suspension Bridge will host the 2007 TD Canada Trust Vancouver International Jazz Festival, offering the most spectacular backdrop of any venue.

For two weekends in June, the cool, classical sounds of jazz will be performed at the Canyon Lookout. Guests can enter the park for free after six o’clock for the special performances, which take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Since 2002, Capilano has been a venue for this popular celebration of music. Guests are able to listen to an extensive program of traditional, contemporary, and evolving forms of jazz.

As the largest music festival in British Columbia, The Vancouver International Jazz Festival has been the winner of numerous awards for Best Festival and praised as one of the leading jazz festivals in the world.

Capilano Suspension Bridge welcomes these emerging musicians from Canada and around the world to perform and amaze listeners in front of the picturesque setting of our concert venue. 

The historic Capilano Suspension Bridge site dates back to 1889. The existing bridge was rebuilt in 1956 and spans 450 feet across and 230 feet above the rushing waters of the Capilano River. The 30-acre attraction is a short 10-minute drive from downtown Vancouver and has been family owned and operated since 1952.
