Capilano Suspension Bridge Kicks Off Canada Day Celebrations
SCADS OF RED AND WHITE, ACTIVITIES AND EVEN A HUGE CAKE WILL CELEBRATE CANADA’S BIRTHDAY
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada - The team at Capilano will be proudly showing their pride and patriotism this Canada Day. Visitors to the popular attraction will have the opportunity to participate in the spirit of a country celebrating Canada's 140th birthday.
A huge birthday cake, Canada Day games along with Canadian flags, children’s activities and face painting will be a part of this big party.
As Vancouverites celebrate, people from around the world can experience our good fortune to live in one of the best cities in the world, as reaffirmed by the Economist Intelligence Unit survey, and celebrate the diversity of cultures that have come together to bind our country. This day long celebration on July 1st is an annual favourite at the Bridge, with great Canadian entertainment for the whole family topped off with the singing of our national anthem - O Canada.
The historic Capilano Suspension Bridge site dates back to 1889. The existing bridge was rebuilt in 1956 and spans 450 feet across and 230 feet above the rushing waters of the Capilano River. The 30-acre attraction is a short 10-minute drive from downtown Vancouver and has been family owned and operated since 1952.
