Capilano Suspension Bridge Donates over $20,000 to Burn Fund
North Vancouver, B.C. – Capilano Suspension Bridge wrapped up their annual holiday light display, Canyon Lights, with a donation of $20,990 to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund today.
Capilano Suspension Bridge donated proceeds from admission to Canyon Lights, which ran from December 6 – January 3, to the Burn Fund to support Burn Awareness Week, an annual program that teaches children to be responsible for their own safety, and to make families aware of potentially harmful situations.
“We are so proud to be able to support the wonderful programs the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund provides for the community and for burn survivors and their families through the success of this year’s Canyon Lights program,” said Nancy Stibbard, President and Owner of Capilano Suspension Bridge. “We hope visitors continue to think of us as one of their special holiday traditions.”
“The Burn Fund is so appreciative of the wonderful financial support that Capilano Suspension Bridge gives our annual Burn Awareness Week program. With their help we are able to reach children throughout the province with valuable safety lessons,” says David Dales, Burn Fund Executive Director, Programs & Events. “We look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”
Canyon Lights is an annual seasonal display of over 250,000 lights and includes activities for the whole family.
