Treetops Adventure is the newest of Capilano Suspension Bridge's attractions and the first venue of its kind in North America, offering a squirrel's eye view of a thriving coastal forest. Visitors venture from one magnificent Douglas fir tree to another on a series of elevated suspension bridges, some reaching as high as 100 feet (30m) above the forest floor. Guided nature tours and the Kids' Rainforest Explorer program are some of the activities that enhance this unique rainforest encounter. Recognized for extraordinary innovation with national and provincial tourism and engineering awards, a walk on Treetops Adventure has emerged as one of Vancouver's quintessential activities.

A diverse development team of engineers, arborists, bridge specialists and environmental consultants created an attraction that preserves the delicate rainforest environment, showcases innovative engineering technology and invites guests to experience a West Coast rainforest in a way like no other. The team included Project Manager and builder Marc Luc Lalumiere, engineer and designer Art Williams, and arborist Jeremy Guye. An innovative compression system safely secures each tree's observation platform using only 20 pounds of force per square inch, approximately the amount of pressure exerted by pressing your thumb firmly on a tabletop. Combined with custom-engineered steel cables and a commitment to routine inspections and adjustments, this system does not damage the Douglas fir trees in any way.
