Canyon Lights

Canyon Lights sparkle for the holidays at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park!

The holiday season on the North Shore means that it is time for Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. This winter celebration of light has become a very popular family tradition.

With a zillion sparkling lights adorning the Bridge, Rainforest AND Cliffwalk in 2011, this annual winter event ensures the holidays are merry and bright. From Friday, December 2, 2011 until Sunday, January 1, 2012, guests will be treated to the ultimate seasonal sensory celebration, including gingerbread cookie decorating, seasonal music from the Holiday Band, glass ornament blowing with Malcolm Macfadyen and of course, the splendor of magical twinkling lights throughout the park.

The Holiday band, dressed in historical winter costume, performs every evening at 5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm.

Glass blower Malcolm Macfadyen adds extra twinkle as he teaches guests how to make glass icicle ornaments every night from 5:00pm - 9:00pm.

By donation, Children of all ages can enjoy decorating their very own gingerbread cookie nightly from 5:00pm - 9:00pm. Donations are collected to support the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund.

Just for Kids! Magical glowing reindeer are hiding in our Rainforest. See how many you can find and report back to Guest Services to be entered in a draw to win a very special prize.

Proceeds from admission will be donated to the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund, with a goal of raising $20,000 for the organization to support Burn Awareness Week in BC elementary schools (www.burnfund.org).
